The finishing touches to many projects will be the application of color and shade. This may be to enhance the visual depth of a piece, to add realism or simply to convey an effect. The following images illustrate where artistic painting has been executed either as part of a complete design project or simply as a stand alone contract to finish a supplied piece of artwork.

Animated Golden Eagle
Contracted by Integrity Attractions, Inc. to design, fabricate and finish this Eagle character for the Safari World theme park, Bangkok, Thailand. This character was fabricated from fiberglass to support the animation and operate in an outdoor environment. This finished paintwork was also clear-coated to resist the fading effects of Ultra Violet rays present in sunlight. See the animation page for more details on the animatronics.
Painted backdrop - photo opportunity
Contracted by Icarus Exhibits, Inc. to paint a 2-level backdrop for a Winnie the Pooh photo-op set. This backdrop was painted under the art-direction of Disney Art directors. 3-dimensional characters were painted by others.
Painted Shark skins - Jaws ride
Hired by Kinetix Group Inc., Orlando to paint several latex shark skins, including mouth and throat details. Shark skins were eventually installed over hydraulic mechanisms and are featured in the Jaws ride at Universal Studios, Orlando. Artwork also extended to a dead shark which required sculpting, texturing and painting.
Clock face - Sculpt and paint
Hired by Kinetix Group Inc., Orlando to sculpt and paint a decorative clock face for the central display at the FAO Schwarz, Chicago store. Clock fabrication, framework and installation by Kinetix.
